Fansted Now Supports Video Content

Starting today, creators on Fansted can upload and sell video content directly to their subscribers.
You can now add video to your Fansted channel. Upload short tutorials, behind-the-scenes footage, vlogs, or any video content your audience wants. Set it as subscriber-only or save it as a draft until you're ready to publish.

We partnered with Mux, the same video infrastructure that powers companies like Shopify, Vimeo, and Patreon. This gives your videos:
Many creators sell PDFs, images, and downloadable files. Video opens new possibilities:
Video content typically commands higher prices than static files. A 30-minute tutorial video provides more value than a PDF. Your subscribers understand this. They're willing to pay more for it.

When someone subscribes to a plan on your channel, they unlock your video library alongside your other content included in that plan. Videos play directly in their browser — no downloads required, no external apps needed.
The player includes standard controls: play, pause, volume, fullscreen, and progress scrubbing. Quality adjusts automatically, but viewers can manually select their preferred resolution. Captions can be turned on or off.
Playback is smooth across devices. Your subscribers watch on phones, tablets, laptops, or desktops. The player adapts to each screen size.

Large files take longer to process. Most videos under 1GB are ready within seconds. Longer, high-resolution content may take 1-30 minutes, depending on complexity.

If you already have a Fansted channel, video upload is available immediately. Go to your content manager, click "Add content," and select "Add Video". Everything works the same way you're used to — just with a new content type.
Your existing subscribers automatically get access to any videos you add to plans on your channel. No setup required on their end.
If you've been waiting for video support to start your Fansted channel, now's the time. Create your channel, upload your content library, set your subscription price, and start earning.
Some creators launch with a mix of content types: videos for primary content, PDFs for supplementary materials, and images for quick references. Others focus exclusively on video. The platform supports whatever approach fits your content.
This launch covers core video functionality. We're already working on:
